Book design is the art of incorporating the content, style, format, design, and sequence of the various components of a book into a coherent whole. In the words of Jan Tschichold, "Methods and rules that cannot be improved upon have been developed over centuries. To produce perfect books, these rules must be revived and applied." The front matter, or preliminaries, is the first section of a book and typically has the fewest pages. While all pages are counted, page numbers are generally not printed, whether the pages are blank or contain content.
Hello — we’re so glad you’re here! Thank you for joining this tour; enjoy every step of the journey. Your comfort and safety are our top priorities, so if anything is unclear please send us a message. We’ll gladly explain the different route options or help with navigation in Organic Maps. The entire Lycian Way is marked on the map with a dotted line. Here is an example:
There are other routes on the map, so the KMZ files of the Lycian Way have been prepared for you. These files are available in the description of each day. Download the files and open them in OM. Here is an example of a KMZ file and what the map with waypoints looks like:
If KMZ files were not opened in Organic Maps automatically, here is how to open them:
Every day the waypoints are a new color.
Sometimes Organic Maps doesn’t make the route properly.

In Organic Maps, you can view the elevation profile; however, the ascent and descent figures shown there are not accurate. The correct elevation data will be provided in each day’s description. Still, you can use the profile image in Organic Maps to get a general visual idea of the terrain.
The walking time shown in Organic Maps may not always be perfectly accurate, but it usually gives a good general estimate. As a reference, you can assume an average hiking speed of about 2.5–3 km/h. Of course, in more difficult terrain you may move a bit slower.

Trail markings
The trail is marked with red and white signs, like the Polish flag. Sometimes the markings can be yellow and red, blue and white, and others. These markings help you not to get lost on the route. You can also see pyramids of stones - they also indicate the way. If you are standing at a fork in the road and see a pyramid of stones on one side, you should go in the direction of the pyramid.

If you lost the trail
You need to go back to the place where you last saw the mark and look for the next mark. You don't need to try to go through impassable untrodden thicket to get to the trail. There may be sharp rocks or bushes, you can get hurt or go even further from the trail. If you can't find the trail, you can write or call me.

Online Support from 9:00 to 20:00 (local time)
You can always reach out to us on WhatsApp if you have any questions during your tour. We reply during our support hours from 9:00 to 20:00, so please keep this in mind. Messages sent outside these hours will be seen, but we’ll only be able to respond once support hours resume.

If your first day of the tour begins with a transfer, please make sure to read the information in advance and ask any questions beforehand. The details of the car that will pick you up in the morning are provided in your guidebook or will be available via a link. If you’re unsure about anything, it’s best to contact us in advance.

Hotel check-in
To check into the hotels, it will be enough to give your full name and mention that you have a reservation. No booking numbers are required.

Water
You only need to buy snacks  in advance for the hike. Even though guidebook mentions that there’s no water on the trail, don’t worry—you can buy bottled water at the hotels along the way, so there’s no need to purchase multiple bottles before the hike.
